“Weekend Warrior,” sail number AUS 853. Boat is an Ashby Geltek Flyer in very good condition, with Boyer Hulls, carbon mast, carbon beams and carbon tiller extension. Comes with 2 Ashby sails, a set of “strong wind” battens, boat cover, recently replaced trampoline, forestays and trapeze wires and a stainless steel beach trolley with balloon tires. Hobie 18 with carbon fibre mast

I bought this Fully Refurbished 1992 Hobie 18 in January 2019, but things haven’t worked out and I have never put it in the water. It is stored at Rye Yacht Club on the Mornington Peninsula.
It has no trailer, although I do have a boat trailer that could be adapted to carry the cat for an additional $450.
Because I haven’t sailed the boat, I’m using the information that the RYC Chief Instructor and Secretary have provided.
I am happy to show you the boat which has the mast set up.
I would consider just selling the mast with its rigging with the option of also selling the sails and keeping the Hobie.
Rye YC Chief Sailing Instructor:
The Hobie had a complete rebuild about 6 years ago including a carbon fibre mast, new trampoline, refinishing the hulls and most of the ropes on the boat were replaced. It has a masthhead float to prevent inversion after capsize. The sails are in good condition. Beach rollers are included. It has had little use since the rebuild.
Rye YC Secretary:
This boat has been completely restored and rebuilt with new carbon-fibre mast, rigging and trampoline. The hulls are strong and watertight. The HOBIE 18 carries 240 Sq. Feet of sail, has roller furling Jib, Flip¬‐up rudders and 4 trapeze wires. This one is equipped with a “Mamma Bob” mast float which prevents inversion in the event of capsize. Beach launch dolly included.

Wet Suits For Sale
